Moving Stories

During a two-week residency, I led Shaktoolik students K-8 in the creation of collaborative theatre pieces. Students made pieces connected to grade-specific studies including animal life cycles, seasonal changes, and scary stories. I led high school students in development of characters and individual monologues. At completion of the residency, students performed for one another and community members.
This project was supported by Bering Strait School District and the Alaska State Council on the Arts through the Artists in Schools program.
